For example: Salad. You need: 2 cucumbers, 1 tomato, 2 sweet peppers, 1 onion, some olive oil and a little salt. First wash a few vegetables. Then peel a few cucumbers, an onion and sweet peppers. After that slice a tomato and cut sweet peppers, cucumbers and onion. Add some olive oil and a little salt. Mix and serve with dill or parsley.

Task 2

Imagine that you are a star (actor, actress, singer etc.). Tell journalists about your diet. What do you eat (don’t eat)? What do you like (don’t like)? How often do you eat? What do you eat for breakfast (lunch, dinner)? Do you eat healthy or unhealthy food? What is useful for you? Give recommendations for young people what they can eat.

For example: I am a singer. I have got a lot of concerts. I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables. I don’t eat any fast food. I eat some low-fat meat. I eat some fish. I drink a lot of water. I don’t drink any soft drinks. Young people should eat healthy food.

Capricious customer.

Imagine that you are in the grocery shop. Divide the group into pairs. One student is a capricious customer, another is a shop assistant. The customer wants to buy something, but often changes his/her mind.

For example:

  • Can I help you?
  • Yes, I want some cereal. Do you have any?
  • Yes. How much do you want?
  • I want 1 kilo.
  • Ok. Here you are.
  • Maybe 2 kilos or 3. Oh, no. I want a loaf of bread.
