A Witty Answer

Jean is travelling around New England by car. One day she stops in a small village to look at a beautiful church. There is a cemetery in front of it, and an old man is raking the grass around the graves.

Jean gets out of her car, goes into the cemetery and looks at some of the graves. Then she goes over to the old man and says to him, "Good morning. Do people often die in this village?»

The old man stops working for a few seconds, looks at Jean carefully and said, «No, they die once.»

Jean laughs when she hears this, and says to the old man, «I'm sorry,It does not sound correctly. I'll ask it differently: «Do a lot of people die in this village?» The old man stops his work again. «Yes,» he says. «All of them do.» Then he begins raking the grass again.
