Christmas In The Country
Children quite often spend
Christmas in the country with their grandparents. When they arrive at
the village their grand father usually meets them with a great big
sleigh. There are hugs and kisses all around and they all pile into the
sleigh. The sleigh bell goes tinkle-tinkle, the horses go snort-snort,
and they ride down the snowy village street.
Soon they are all greeting their grandmother at the door of the cozy farmhouse. They come in and see the Christmas tree. What a wonderful busy time there is. The children put on the lights, hang the angels and stars on the tree. Then the family gather around the old piano and sing carols. But it is a long and busy day. The children's eyes begin to close. Soon they are fast asleep. On Christmas eve to all good children Santa Clause comes.
