You and your family have recently moved into a new house. Write a letter to your pen-friend in which

• tell him/her about your moving in and briefly describe your house (exterior and interior)
• invite him/her to your house-warming party and write about the date, guests, entertainment
• explain how to get to your place (location and means of transport)

Dear April,

I’m writing to share my recent news with you. Our family has recently bought a new house. You know, it’s a great change and I hope we’ll be happy in our new house.

Honestly, I didn’t want to move anywhere. I wasn’t interested in it because I had a lot of friends there. Eventually, my mother has convinced me, so we are here now. Upon seeing our new house, I was extremely impressed! It is unbelievable! The house is located near the river, which is the main benefit, as for me. Undoubtedly, when I came into the house, I was excited because there was enough space, even for the grand piano in the living-room. My own room, for instance, is not very big, but I like its atmosphere and its light-blue and dark-blue colours.

Actually, I would like to invite you to my house-warming party, dedicated to our moving. We are going to organize it on June 15^th. We have also invited our new neighbours and old friends. We are planning to entertain! You will be able to savour our home-made delicious dishes and cookies as well as enjoying the beverages. Of course, we can play different games outside and listen to an interesting concert arranged in my house. I know that you have a boyfriend, so why not bring him along with you! It’s going to be fun!

In case, if you don’t know how to get to my house, here are some directions: from the airport you get to Grand Street, and after 300m turn left. Then, before a T-junction turn right and move straight on for about 500 m, until you notice the house № 117. It is mine.

Dear Andrew,

Hi! How are you? I’m fine. I’m glad to say that I’m living in a new house now. I have been waiting for this moment for three years. Now, let me tell you about my new mansion.

Generally, the exterior of the house is simple and similar to other houses near it. We have a garden, a green metal fence and a little fountain in the center of the garden. But when you come into the house, you have a feeling that you’re in a fairytale. There are four rooms which are painted in different colours in order to show the beauty of all seasons. Also, we have a kitchen, a basement, a hall and a bathroom.

But if you want to see my house, come to my party next Saturday. There will be my parents, friends and other relatives. I think that we will be able to play different games in the garden including basketball, football, tennis, etc.

My house is located near the railway station, on Shevchenko Street. You can come to me using a taxi or by bus. If there are some problems, call me and I will meet you.

I’m looking forward to meeting you. Write to me if you come to my party.
