People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend college or university? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Nowadays, the number of people, who want to have education, is growing more and more. That goes without saying, because it has so many advantages.

To start, it is necessary to emphasize, that education is an important component of successful career life. The first thing, to be paid attention to in your resume is a university or college degree. Even, when you have some years of professional practice somewhere, during which you were taught, how to do things in a right way, another applicant who just graduated from a university has much higher chances to get the job. Furthermore, some jobs can not even be understood, without a couple of years of studying for that. But this is not the only reason, why so many people study at the college or university.

People also want to understand how things in this world work more precisely than at school, for example. At the age of15, you can`t do complicated laboratory tests to find out how high the match of two trees, to create a better one. And this can be done with only two leaves from each of them. People also want to know, how relationship between them functions or how this job applicant that is sitting in front of them, thinks. For this, it is necessary to have some knowledge in psychology, which is not to be found on a list of school subjects.

Finally, some people wish not to lose their position in a society. If parents have studied at Oxford, for example, everyone thinks, that their children also would be studying there. So if these children want to have a contact to the family, they just have to do this.

There are also a lot of other reasons for attending a college or university. They depend on a person, on life circumstances, on life goals and many more.

All in all, everybody needs to remember, that the humanity wouldn`t reach so high level of development without knowledge. And this knowledge is available only during the education at higher education institutions. So, if you want to step with a time of development, you just do not have to neglect studying.
