There is a king in the arts kingdom. People in this kingdom can paint very well. But the king cannot paint well. His pictures are very bad. The people are afraid of the king, they cannot tell him that he is a bad painter. The king is cruel and he can kill those who do not like his pictures. So, the people say that they like all the king’s pictures.
One day the king shows his pictures to a great painter. The painter is an honest man. “Do you like my pictures? Am I a good painter or not?”, asks the king. “My lord, your pictures are bad, you are not a good painter”. The king is very angry. And now the painter is in prison.
After two years the king and the painter meet again. “Do you like my pictures? Am I now a good painter or not?”, asks the king. But the painter does not like his pictures.“Can I go back to prison?”, asks the painter.
